I'm back to knitting again after a long time. I am a self-taught knitter/crocheter and still consider myself a beginner. I've knitted blankets and crocheted a baby sweater years ago. This is a sturdy book-small enough to fit in your purse. It has full-page photos and clear instructions. I bought this book for the Aran baby blanket pattern, which is beautiful. While I'm waiting for the 16-inch #7 an #8 circular needles to arrive that I had to order (couldn't find them anywhere, but found them on Amazon), I've started knitting a corner blanket (pattern in this book) for my 7 year-old; the 10 year-old wants one, too. It has a detailed edge, but is very easy-great instructions, so I wasn't intimidated. I love this book and can't wait to start that baby blanket for my new grandbaby! I also bought Knit baby Head and Toes by the same author.Love, Love, Love this adorable little book. Am on my second baby blanket and thoroughly enjoying this great book. (I know of 9 expectant mothers at this day and time, lol) From the beginner, to the advanced knitters - this book has something for everyone. It is definitely worth the small price. It is a small take along kind of book, lol. I enjoy the beautiful colored photos and easy to read patterns as well.I started the Baby Bunting only to find the numbers off in the pattern. To anyone else having this problem, simply knit one more stitch after the first increase and one before the second on the pattern rows. Judging by the purl row, this is what was intended. (This correction must be made on both the back and the front) I'm disappointed; the patterns looked very cute but it doesn't really matter if the pattern doesn't work.I bought this book thinking it would have a pattern I wanted and the pattern was not exactly what I expected it to be. I kept it because it had cute baby blankets easy to make, just not what I wanted.Cute patterns but some serious errors in terms of patterns. They are pretty confusing to follow even for an experienced knitter and the counts are off pretty frequently.Bought this to make the sheep baby blanket for my forest grandchildThis book has so many adorable patterns for baby blankets. I find a lot of knitting books disappointing (because they waste a lot of pages showing very basic patterns), but this book was definitely a good pick!good patternsThe items in this book are great for beginners and more advanced knitters, within a couple of weeks I am on my second project from this book and have more planned! The book is small enough to carry around with your project - handy if you travel and knit or have to carry a large bag to work like I do!Lovely book - fabulous price and fantastic serviceIt was exactly what I was looking for.
